PLEASE HELP A VETERAN HOMEOWNER TODAY!
AMERICAN CULTURE COUNCIL/HOME DEPOT PROJECTS PENDING:
Taking part in the wonderful project called "Celebration of Service", ACC and HD will partner together and thank a Veteran for his service with a refurbishment of his home and yard.
Our 1st Vietnam Veteran will get his home and yard refurbished, thanks to a very generous grant from the Home Depot Foundation. He and his wife live in the Chula
Vista/Imperial Beach section of San Diego County. Recently, his health took a turn for the worse. We want to get this project done so he can recuperate in a refurbished home and can enjoy his
new yard and patio furniture.
We'll be posting pictures as soon as we start the project, in Mid-October. New items they're receiving will replace their current washer and dryer - 2 "appliances" that deserve to be in some museum. And they eat up a lot of electricity. We're going to change that situation.
Another US Veteran in the Lemon Grove section of San Diego will be receiving new fencing, new patio furniture, new sod and plants, and many more items in late October 2017. 80% disabled, this Veteran and his wife are also raising their grand-daughter. She needs new carpeting in her bedroom, and she's getting it, thanks to her Granddaddy's friends at The Home Depot Store!
If you'd like your home to be considered for this terrific project, Celebration of Service, and you're a homeowner and an American military Veteran, please go to our Contact Page, and send us an email outlining what your home's needs are.
Also, whenever you're in a Home Depot Store, please take a moment to thank them for this wonderful project they do strictly for America's Veteran homeowners.
CELEBRATION OF SERVICE - A Veteran's unselfish service to defend his nation and its Constitution, and a wonderful American Company's way of thanking that Veteran for his sacrifice on behalf of all America.

VOLUNTEER FOR THIS PROJECT AND
SERVE THE VETERANS WHO SERVED US
As a Nonprofit partner of The Home Depot, American Culture Council, Inc. receives applications from
Veterans, processes their paperwork, and introduces them to the Home Depot Representatives in their area.
All projects listed are carried out by The Home Depot professionals ONLY. American Culture Council does not take part in any construction, refurbishment, or other activity deemed to be a job strictly of The Home Depot and their professional construction personnel.
Our current partnership with The Home Depot consists of providing the collection of Veteran applications and assisting with disbursement of funds due suppliers from an administrative process only. American Culture Council DOES NOT MANAGE any projects for The Home Depot.
American Culture Council locates and qualifies the Veterans, and applies for
and receives the Grants. Any grants received are spent only at The Home Depot Store that has ordered and received all materials required for each project. The Home Depot employees/volunteers, and or
their qualified Subcontractors then carry out all the construction. This is our division of labor for the Celebration of Service project.
This is the same division of labor for our partnership with San Diego Habitat For Humanity - American Culture Council, Inc, locates and qualifies the Veteran applicants, and turns the Veterans' information over to San Diego Habitat For Humanity, who will make the final decision on which project is approved.
The Home Depot employee/volunteers and the San Diego Habitat For Humanity employees/volunteers do all the actual physical labor of renovation.
NEITHER AMERICAN CULTURE COUNCIL, INC, NOR ANY OF ITS VOLUNTEERS, STAFF, OR
EMPLOYESS TAKE ANY PART IN ANY RENOVATION. WE JUST DO THE INITIAL PAPERWORK FOR EACH VETERAN APPLICANT. AND WE DOCUMENT THE PROJECT WITH VIDEOS AND STILLS, INCLUDING INTERVIEWING THE VETERAN AND
MANY VETERANS HAVE APPLIED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS PROJECT. Click here for an idea of some of their needs:
